Mardi Gras Golf and Medalling
Here is the Friday golf gang celebrating the Mardi Gras on the dock at Lake Sumter Landing. A golf match, won by Bob Lantz and Peg, followed by some beer, margaritas, and dinner at the Lighthouse, complete with Mardi gras beads..a good time was had by all ! Bob and Crystal Crafton (and I hope that spelling is correct) are new to the Villages...they are here from Ohio...Bob Crafton was a 71 Miami Grad, like me, so when we are on the same team, we are the "Seventy Ones."We all have lots of fun, and when we found out we knew some of the same students and teachers, it truly is a "small world!"Our other friends are from Maine, Diane and Steve, and they have had to take a lot of heat after the Patriots lost the Super Bowl.Steve hits the ball a MILE, so we don't mention in when he is on the tee....he does not need extra distance!! !
In the other picture is our friend and Wed golf gal, Karen Greenlee. Besides golf, Karen plays pickleball and shuffleboard. She won the senior Florida games in the 55 age bracket, as well as medalled with her husband, Don. They are also from Ohio Have a good February, and Happy Valentine's Day!
