Ling's 19th Hole

After a day of golf at Nancy Lopez CC, and a quick lunch for wagers etc. at her Oasis Patio Bar, we each headed home to get ready for the Spring Wednesday Girls Golf Banquet.
Upon arriving at the Legacy Restaurant at Nancy Lopez CC that evening, we discovered that MARGARITAS were two for one, and there started our evening of good times! Whoopee! A nice dinner of steaks or swordfish and some gifts and gag gifts were given, and a fine time was had by all. This is a unique dinner, started by dollar donations from each of us, each week at lunch, given to our commissioner, Nancy, to go towards funding our banquet. When she starts complaining that she has too much money, we treat ourselves to a night out. Members are Back Row: Jana Chronerbery, Vicki Fresard, Nancy Regan, Linda Greenleaf, Jackie Reed, and Karen Greenlee. Front Row: Jan Lantz and Peg Poling. All of our golfers are Belvedere Villagers except Karen Greenlee, who is a "stone's throw away" in Bonnybrook.( For you all outside the Villages, this means we all live near each other!) After dinner, some wonderful stories were told, especially Jackie Reed's "ROCKET STORY!" A fine time was had by all. Have a safe and enjoyable Memorial Day.
