The PCC Girls Visit the Villages
Friends and family visits are always great, and this March and first of April were no exceptions !
The pictures on the left are Marty Dale, Carolyn Amos, and Marla Flinn. Marla and Marty are good friends from Sidney, Ohio, and Carolyn, now a Grand Harbor Floridian, was also once a member of the PCC lady golfing gang. Armed with quarters and demo clubs, Marla and Marty arrived last weekend and spent the first part of the week at the Hollys. Jan Lantz, Marla, Marty and Peg golfed on Sunday, playing 18 holes at Glenview CC. Monday was Nancy Lopez Legacy CC, as Jana, Marla, Marty and I played a good game of C.O.D as we played the Errin Glenn and Ashley Meadows nines. Tuesday was a day off to shop and go to dinner at Cane Garden CC with Jan and Bob Lantz and Rick Holly, and the gang. Wednesday was our Ladies Day, as our commissioner, Nancy, got the newest course in The Villages, the ninth country club, named Havana. Jana, Marla, Marty, and I had a ball playing golf that day, as Marla and I each had a chip in (earning us two poker cards each!) at the Too
Jays luncheon with Linda, Vicki, Karen, and Nancy. Jana shot an 87, her best score ever ! All eight of us had a good time. Thanks, Nancy for the sub opportunities! Carolyn Amos (in the top picture with her two "cohorts in crime) arrived Wed. night and Thursday morning we headed back to Lopez to play the Ashley Meadows and Torri Pine nines. They succeeded in getting a lot of my quarters, and a good time was still had by all. Jana joined us for lunch, and Jan and fellow Ohioan and Villager Sandy Spade (on VNN TV the night before at Bogart Rec Center with her husband, Dick) also joined us at the Lopez Legacy Restaurant for lunch. (all pictured above..the poor waiter!) A fun time was had by all !!However........................... now Marla (retired) and Marty (Newton Schools are waiting!) are on their way home....25 degrees. BRRRR !!!!!! Happy Easter Joyce and Bill. Happy Easter Jean, Jeff, Carolyn, Howard, and family !
