Louise Stahle, LPGA golfer, Visits The Villages
My friends Jan (on left) and Bob Lantz, formerly from Greenville, now The Villages, met Louise Stahle when they were flying from Orlando to Phoenix. She happened to be seated with them, and, on the four hour flight, a friendship developed! Bob and Jan are both avid Villager golfers, and they enjoyed hearing all about Louise. She had just qualified at Q school for the year's LPGA tour.A native of Sweden, she attended Arizona St. Univ. and last year, as a freshman, was the Pac 10 Player of the Year. I was lucky enough to get to golf with Louise on Sunday, Jan. 8 at the Nancy Lopez CC in the Villages. Jan, Sandy, Louise, and I all had a fun day on the golf course. She has an unbelievable swing, and a very precise short game. She left here Tuesday for a training session in Scottsdale, and will soon leave to play a professional event in Australia. Jan and Bob had a large party for Louise on Sunday night. A good time was had by all!!!!
