Arnold Palmer CC from Lake Sumter Landing

This is a picture I took in July. Lake Sumter Landing was really just getting started as the second townsquare, but in the last few months,
many more businesses and restaurants have opened, and the town has really come to life.
Each month, the local newspaper lists everyone from his/her hometown, and in which "village" of The Villages the property was purchased. The last 4 months, the properties have averaged around 520-530...but the month of October was a record 652 properties sold. The Villages can't keep up with the requests, as they start 100 new homes a week. The trollies from the salescenter
have been packed with prospective buyers,so much that salespeople are put in to a lottery. I really feel that the high rising property costs (in the Villages, it is rumored that the property values increase at $100./day) would have eliminated us from buying, had we waited another
year. Although we miss everyone back home, it is good to be in sunny Florida. Take care, hit em straight, and putt em in !!!! Posted by Picasa
