Ling's 19th Hole

It hardly seems like four years, but we are beginning the 5th year of residency in The Villages. We think it is great here. I hope most of you reading this have visited here. Last week, it was in the 80's everyday. No one wore their Christmas sweatshirts...yes, we did wear golf shirts etc., but the "Christmas clothes" were just too hot ! Callie and Sammi spent a lot of time outside on the chaise lounge, and Nike followed me around most of the time like a little, or big, puppy. On New Year's Day, we had a neighborhood Bloody Mary tournament, run by our friends Skip and Linda. I don't like that drink, but it was fun golfing and socializing. I have been playing around in my spare time reading and working on my Facebook page. It has been fun, and I saw on the Today show, that many more "older adults" are now joining Facebook, but in the beginning, it was a social type network for the kids. Our Miami University alumni group is having a Tuffy's Toasted Roll party next Sunday, and the golf tournaments and snowbird friends, Carol and Del, and Maxine and Marilu are arriving soon !!
