Happy New Year everyone. Although it looks nice and sunny, Callie, Nike, and Sammi are actually "jockeying" for the best places on the chaise to get optimum "rays."It is 60 here today, and a little breezy.
Jana is back from a cold Ohio, and she brought some cold weather back with her. Her straight through flight was cancelled, resulting in a traveling nightmare, which reinforces the definite need for only flying STRAIGHT THROUGH. It is a zoo in the airports in Fla. most of the time, and especially near holidays with extra flights for Disneyland people.
Christmas was very pretty in The Villages, with some great lighting displays and record breaking warm temps. Lots of golf. I had to stay home this year to provide the care that Callie needed with shots, etc, and had some great help from Nancy, the cats' sitter and asst. nurse. Had a good time Christmas Eve with The Lantz Family, as well as some good grudge golf at Hacienda, and also with Nancy, Charley, and friends on Christmas Day.There was some sadness during the season as our friend Julie lost her sister to cancer, and our friend Stacy's father passed with a heart attack. Also, Barb and Aim's dog, Max passed away. Our sympathies to all, as we all know it is tough to lose a family member, and during the holidays, it is especialy tough. May all of your days in 2008 be happy and healthy ones.
