Nancy Lopez Legacy and The Birthday Girl

October has been a busy month. Jana's birthday on Oct. 3 was spent having a great time golfing with the Wed. Golf Girls, and celebrating
with a "Brownie Mountain Birthday Dessert" (see picture below) The next night we went to Nancy Lopez Legacy CC to attend
a special evening with Nancy Lopez..yes, she visited each table and posed with us like a rose between two thorns !!! One of our buddies, known as Peppermint Patty, suggested that we should go, and she invited us to sit at her table, so we said YES, and we had a great time. Nancy's oldest daughter just graduated from Auburn University, and she helped take photos, and also socialized with all the people. Open bar, great
dinner buffet..... it was a very fun and special evening. Nancy has a home on her course, and
she was here promoting her charity, Aim for the Handicapped. We are well acquainted with this,
as this is based in the Dayton-Cincinnati area, and is directed by Dr . Jo Geiger. Nancy has been a spokesperson since the 70's, and has had a major impact helping disabled kids.
At the end of the month, Marla, from PCC came to The Villages, and we golfed and visited with
Mary Lou Holly,(snowbird) Sharon Cramer, Carolyn Amos, (former PCC and now Grand Harbor Floridians)and Marla...of course, Marla collected quite a few bets, and is coming home rich with one dollar bills !!!! The Brinks' truck has already been dispatched to meet her plane.
