Hello....Merry Christmas from the Villages!!
This is what happend to Nike, our Maine Coon cat, after a night of partying and one too many cat treats.
It has been a little cold here for this time of year, and windy, however, we did watch NASA's space shuttle night launch from our birdcage, and while I am not a big NASA fan, it was a beautiful sight.
Last week was a good time to view the Villagers' Christmas lights, and we did so by golf cart...many whole streets were all decorated with the same trees or light displays, and were beautiful. The treelighting ceremonies took place on both townsquares, and the brass bands and carolers took part in the festivities. Our friend Jan and her mother met us at Dominic's, our Italian hangout at Lake Sumter Landing, and then they went to the treelighting..everyone was given a candle in a green or red holder...approximately one thousand people were there on each square to watch the lighting of the massive tree displayed right by the bandstands.
Jana is coming to Ohio to see her family and friends for Christmas...while I am staying home with the cats this year...so from me, at least, here's to you...Merry Christmas and a Happy 2007!
