Nike and Sammi , sunbathers

Been to quite a few movies lately....The Guardian and Flyboys were good, The Departed was not a bit good. I guess we didn't see what the critics did.
Mary Lou Holly (Sidney,Ohio) was here getting her and Rick's house ready to rent to our former neighbors, The Ushers, and we had a fun Saturday night going to Naples with her and The Lantz's for Italian cuisine. A huge bookstore has opened in Lake Sumter Landing...a Barnes and Noble. Of course,
my reading has consisted most of newpapers, Newsweek, and Time, so naturally no trips have yet been made. People here are so friendly. It is sometimes amazing. We lunched last week at Ruby Thai in Lake Sumter Landing with some of our friends and neighbors in Cherry Hills Villas, as well as a round of golf with Sandy and Dick Spayde from near Medina , Ohio...they have since left for Ohio to try and sell their house and property for a more permanent move to the Villages. Yesterday, a guy at Hacienda Hills saw my licence plate on the golf cart and asked
if I knew Judy and Karl Bemus??!!! Small world. Judy is one of my good buddies and fellow lady golfers at the PCC. Anyway, if you would like to comment on the blog, there is a prompt at the end of this "rambling," and also, have a Happy Halloween!!!!

October Blog Birthday

She got a pineapple angel food cake and a trip via
golf cart to Beef O'Brady's where we met some friends for dinner. The picture on the left was taken on the birdcage..hole #4 Pimlico Golf Course.
The weather is starting to cool down...mid 80's
during the day, and 60's at night. The swimming pool is getting a bit cool, but the heater will be turned on Oct.15.
Golfing has been fun, as usual. And, as usual, I haven't won any money....good thing I have other income!! HA!! Demo days are starting in The Villages, and the last Glenview Golf Social is on Monday with our friends Don and Karen Greenley. Wish us all luck!!! The last time we played in the Glenview social, we won. Have a great October, and Happy Halloween, too!
