Ling's 19th Hole

This picture was taken beside the cart path on #8 of the Hibiscus Course at Cane Gardens CC in The Villages. There are many pairs of them on the courses and they are a very peaceful and
quite a tame bird...this one was about 6-8 feet from the cart.
Golf continuing to be a lot of fun, and even though the weather is hot, certain items have made the heat more bearable...this includes a BUBBA MUG that holds lots of ice, as well as a
"SPRITZER" that can be pumped up to spray a fine mist and cool one off, as well as the usual wet towels, red licorice, black licorice, and bananas.
The "CHIP GAME" has been expanded and is a fun game to play for quarters. A fun time is had by all!!!! Stay cool and have a safe 4th of JULY!!!! 

The picture is from the May 31 group getting ready to play at Cane Garden CC....Left to right are Nancy, Sue, and Jana......Nancy is holding her balloon which HAD to be tied to her cart the whole day! Missing in this picture are regulars Jan (golfing with Bob at Tierra Del Sol CC the same day) and Peg (photographer for this picture that day!) We also have our subs, Carol, Karen, and Deb. We have a great amount of fun. Imaginary "Jan Poker Chips" were awarded Wed. for various accomplishments and boo-boos, and afterwards, of course, lunch at Cane Garden (with no Tide Stick, darn it!) One of the new chips was called Uranus.....that one may be self-explanatory. A great time is always had by all...we missed Jan, but the last thing we "heard" is that her ball "sounded like it was at Tierra Del Sol CC!" Later, Gators.
